Delicious things to dip in chocolate

I could give up chocolate, but I’m not a quitter…

Just putting it out there, I’m totally a chocolate addict.

Surprisingly a little less so while pregnant, but definitely wouldn’t say no to a delectably deliciously delightful chocolate treat offer…

What better way to make EVERYTHING just as wonderful, than by dipping them in chocolate!

Pick one or many of the following and savour the scrumptiousness that is chocolate-dipped goodness. For even more fun, use bamboo skewers to hold a creative mix of whatever takes your fancy.

Read on for a list of 40+ things made so much better with a dollop of chocolate on top, or dunked in a warm fondue

Life With Isabelle | Dipping in milk chocolate fondue

  • Apple wedges
  • Strawberries (always a classic!)
  • Citrus segments (mandarins, oranges, etc. )
  • Sliced bananas
  • Kiwi
  • Mango
  • Melon balls/chunks (rockmelon, honeydew, watermelon)
  • Pears
  • Pineapple
  • Seedless grapes (red, green)
  • Cherries (either fresh or maraschino)
  • Berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries
  • Fresh coconut
  • Dried fruits (e.g. apricot)

Note: when using fruits with a chocolate fondue, they should be kept as cold as possible beforehand so that you end up with a hard coating of chocolate. Also, if you’re not planning on serving/eating immediately, most fruits do well with a drizzle of lemon juice to prevent any unsightly browning.

Also, did you know…

Chocolate comes from cocoa.
Cocoa comes from a tree.
Trees are plants.

There you go! No excuses

  1. Oh good god, I’m so hungry right now! I love strawberries and chocolate and berries in general – never tried it with melon or pineapple though.. Or potato chips! I definitely wanna try that now, very intrigued!

  2. Girrrrrl I am a chocolate addict too! But I gave it up for lent so I am quite miserable reading this post haha. I love making fondue at home but I struggle with getting a fun variety of dippers on the serving plate. Thanks for the ideas!

  3. Oooh yum! Salted popcorn with chocolate sounds amazing. Strawberries and chocolate is one of my faves, but I feel like there are so many new options I need to try here!

  4. I didn’t know that keeping fruits cold (I wrote “chocolate” instead of “cold” the first time – Freudian slip!) helps the chocolate adhere to it better – I’ve definitely run into that problem before and didn’t know why! Thanks!

  5. “I could give up chocolate, but I’m not a quitter” this quote couldn’t be more me. I thank you for giving me yet another list of things to do with chocolate.

  6. Love this–“I could give up chocolate, but I’m not a quitter!” So cute There is nothing like choc-dipped strawberries in my book!!
